Lunchtime Learning Programme Launched

Bournemouth Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) has launched a new Lunchtime Learning programme designed to give local businesses practical, expert-led advice they can immediately apply.

The sessions bring together local business experts and levy payers for short, focused seminars centred around five practical, low or no-cost actions businesses can implement straight away. Each session runs from 1pm to 2.30pm and includes a light lunch, offering an accessible opportunity for professional development and networking.

The programme began earlier this year with a session titled “5 Ways to Stay Out of an Employment Tribunal”, delivered by employment law specialists at Paris Smith LLP, providing guidance on best practice and how to avoid common legal pitfalls.

A second session followed, led by cyber security experts Castra and Howden Insurance, focusing on “5 Ways to Be More Cyber Aware” and highlighting the growing risks facing SMEs.

Upcoming sessions include:

  • 23 April – 5 Ways to Improve Your Social Media, led by Liz Hutchings, Total Guide to.
  • 28 May – 5 Ways to Improve Your Networking, led by Paul Kinvig, Bournemouth Town Centre BID

Each seminar is delivered by a local expert, reflecting the BID’s ongoing commitment to supporting the town centre business community and sharing knowledge from within the region.

Tom Rogers, Business Liaison Officer for Bournemouth Town Centre BID, said
We know how busy business owners are, so these sessions are designed to be practical, accessible and immediately useful. It’s about giving people simple actions they can take away and implement straight away, while also creating space to connect with others in the local business community.”

The initiative forms part of the BID’s wider work to strengthen local businesses and encourage collaboration across Bournemouth town centre.

Bournemouth Town Centre BID levy payers who would like to attend or find out more can email info@towncentrebid.co.uk to secure their place.
