Organisers are creating a jazz village where people will be able to sit and listen to a variety of jazz music to suit all tastes on all three days of the festival from April 22 to 24.

The free outdoor programme is in addition to a huge range of jazz at various venues across Bournemouth which is expected to attract several thousand visitors to the town, including big name stars the Ginger Baker Experience, Andy Sheppard and Jacqui Dankworth and locals Zoe Schwarz and Blue Commotion.

Steve Hughes, the Town Centre Bid Manager, said: “We are delighted to sponsor this year’s Jazz Festival which should bring a significant boost to the town’s economy with new customers coming to our hotels, shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. We hope people from in and around Bournemouth also get behind the event which has a fantastic line-up.”

Tickets and programmes will be available from a stall in The Square, from 10am to 4pm, on Saturday April 2, Saturday April 9 And Saturday April 16.
