Eye-catching vinyls are now on display on the House of Fraser windows in Old Christchurch Road, thanks to the Town Centre BID.

The colourful and imaginative artwork storyboard will be in place while the former department is repurposed.

The vinyls depict Bournemouth through the four seasons with some JRR Tolkien inspiration and were created by designer Laura Bracken.

Included in the autumn to winter section is a QR code donation point for the Homelessness Partnership charity, this being the time of year it is most needed.

The next two phases of the project will feature the windows in the arcade and those overlooking the Lower Gardens.

Laura said: “This is a really important building in Bournemouth Town centre, and celebrating the town’s historic connection to the world renowned author and his wonderful novels, is a great project to be involved in. Bournemouth really is a town to be celebrated.”

The BID’s Chief Operating Officer, Paul Kinvig, added: “We are delighted to be funding this project which looks fabulous. It’s the kind of artwork that will make people stop and look.

“Laura has done a wonderful job in capturing the very best of Bournemouth and it really lifts the street scene.”
