Following an initial meeting in July, the BID recently brought 15 businesses from The Triangle together with senior representatives from Dorset Police and BCP Council to review progress and discuss the challenges that remain. Thanks you to Fireball for hosting us.
It was particularly encouraging to hear businesses themselves report a tangible improvement since the partnership approach was introduced – alongside updates from Police and BCP Council on the work taking place behind the scenes.
But there can be no let-up.
For real progress to continue, everyone with a stake in the town centre needs to play their part. Businesses need to report, report, report, while Police and local authorities need to recognise, respond and relay – ensuring businesses understand what action is being taken and the results being achieved.

Our Business Crime Liaison Officer, Jackie Arnold, who organised the meeting, said:
“It was a pleasure to bring the businesses, Police and BCP back together to hear the update on progress and to learn of the work going on in the background. I cannot stress enough the need for reporting – nothing will change without it!”
The BID will continue to advocate for levy payers, bring the right people around the table and help facilitate a joined-up approach to the issues affecting our town centre.
Working together, we can make a difference.
