Screams by the Sea – get involved

On 13-14 March, the Screams By The Sea International Film Festival 2026 is coming to Bournemouth, with a number of fringe events taking place in town centre businesses.

Screams By The Sea is an international film festival specialising in fantastical programming. The aim is to bring the next big indie films to Bournemouth while also providing connections, education, and high volumes of entertainment.

Bournemouth Town Centre BID levy payers can get involved in one of the following ways:

1. Provide a discount for festival pass holders. Each festival guest will receive an official lanyard, which they will show at participating businesses to get a discount (T&Cs: the business dictates the amount discounted. Offer valid for: 13/03/26-13/04/26)
2. Outreach merch – Add your advertising material to the festival gift bags.

On the run up to the festival, there will also be a number of engagement events, including a free to attend pop up in Bournemouth Arcade.

From 9-13 March, between 12 noon and 3pm, the public can meet the organisers of the festival, and see the trailers for the films featured, along with a program of micro short films.
