The Town Centre BID’s 2022/23 annual general meeting took place in December and was kindly hosted by Bournemouth University International College in the Lansdowne.
The period covered by the AGM was July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023.
Board directors were in attendance along with the BID team.
Chief Operating Officer, Paul Kinvig, presented the annual report which reiterated the BID’s four business plan priorities – a safer, welcoming, vibrant, and connected town centre.
He outlined the vital and ongoing work of the seven-days-a-week Rangers in providing key support for levy payers, working with the police and BCP Council in tackling anti-social behaviour and their high visibility ambassadorial role.
Mr Kinvig also spoke of the large numbers of events and festivals supported and funded by the BID, the graffiti removal initiative, the additional cleaning of town centre streets and alleys and the provision of hanging baskets and floral pedestals.
The BID’s role in the new Business Crime Reduction Partnership was also referenced, along with social media support for levy payers, street banners, the Gift Card and invaluable business breakfasts.
BID Chairman, Martin Davies, said: “I know what a great job Paul and team do, but quite frankly when I reflect on the year, I am astonished by just how much they continue to achieve on behalf of our levy payers, with the wholehearted support of the board.
“The support the BID gives to the town centre and our 700 levy paying businesses all year round is phenomenal.”
