The Bournemouth Town Centre BID has been shortlisted for a prestigious award by the Association of Town and City Management.

We are delighted to have been recognised in the category Best Business Support, in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Martin Davies, Chair of the Bournemouth Town Centre BID, said: “To be shortlisted in this category which I am sure was an incredibly competitive one is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of the whole team. I am immensely proud of the team.”

The Covid-19 support included a whole range of initiatives to help levy payers beginning at the very start of the pandemic and continuing throughout.

These included a continuous series of media campaigns promoting the town centre and its businesses, lobbying locally and nationally, securing free HR support, advice with how to apply for grants and a whole raft of other measures.

The ATCM say the awards are an opportunity “to promote and celebrate the extraordinary work this industry has done in an extraordinarily tough environment.

“They can demonstrate how our industry became the last line of defence for businesses in the biggest economic crisis in generations.”

The awards take place later this month.
