The iBournemouth app, developed in partnership between Business Events Bournemouth and the Town Centre BID, is now available to download for free on iPhone and Android devices.
It was designed to target the 118,000 business delegates who visit Bournemouth each year, to improve their experience and help make them aware of everything the town has to offer. It gives local businesses the opportunity to publish special offers, sell tickets and reach the thousands of business tourists who are looking for ways to spend their money and free time in the town.
However, a large number of businesses have not yet taken up the offer of a free listing. This is a great opportunity to market your business to thousands of conference delegates for free.

New Phone App Puts Bournemouth at Your Fingertips
The Bournemouth Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) has funded a new smart phone app for the 118,000-people visiting the town on business.
A new smart phone app is highlighting Bournemouth as an excellent destination for major conferences and events. With 118,000 event delegates visiting Bournemouth in the last year, the new iBournemouth App has been developed by Business Events Bournemouth to improve their experience. Attracting even more people to the town and encouraging repeat visits, the innovative project has been made possible by Bournemouth Town Centre BID funding.
Downloadable on iPhone and Android devices, the iBournemouth App provides a guide for all delegates attending a conference or event in Bournemouth. It includes a comprehensive list of shops, restaurants, cinemas, cafes, bars and attractions as well as transport and emergency information. It also gives local businesses the opportunity to publish special offers, sell tickets and reach the thousands of business tourists who are looking for ways to spend their money and free time in the town.
Karina Gregory, from Business Events Bournemouth said:
“The new app is giving business tourists the ability to make the most of their time, experience the best of what we can offer and get the best deals from our local businesses. Highlighting our fantastic coastal destination, all this information is just a tap away via their smart phones.
Steve Hughes, Bournemouth Town Centre BID Manager said:
“We were delighted to help develop and launch this exciting app. Attracting more people to the town, iBournemouth represents a huge resource for our local businesses to tap into. They can now promote offers and attract business from the many thousands of people who attend business and consumer events in Bournemouth.’’
Business Events Bournemouth is the officially appointed agency for Bournemouth’s Hotels. They help business event organisers to find the right fit in venues and accommodation for their delegates. They continue to work closely with the Town Centre BID, an independent, not-for-profit company with a voluntary board of directors drawn from a range of local businesses in the BID area.
