The Bournemouth Town Centre BID has successfully applied to join the Business in the Community’s Healthy High Streets Programme.
Bournemouth was one of 33 towns selected to take part in the programme which aims to increase footfall by 10 per cent, reduce the number of vacant properties by 20 per cent and stimulate the creation of jobs over the next three years. Bournemouth town centre will receive a package of support including access to skills, expertise and dedicated high street champions from supporting businesses.
Steve Hughes, Town Centre BID Manager, will meet later this month to draw up plans with representatives from Healthy High Streets and Bournemouth managers from Marks & Spencer, Boots, Greggs, Santander, EE, and Wilko.
Steve said: “This is a great opportunity to work with these business champions to achieve our ambition of creating a more successful and vibrant town centre.”
