Our hard working rangers are always ready to step in to help combat crime.
A couple from Wiltshire were arrested recently on suspicion of trying to spend fake Scottish £20 notes in shops around The Triangle and Westover Road.
One of our rangers spotted the couple in Westover Road, promptly reporting this to the town camera team and police. The rest of the ranger team arrived and followed the couple, who split up and ran off, before being caught and arrested. False passports and a quantity of counterfeit cash were seized.
Please remember to check banknotes. You can find further information at www.bankofengland.co.uk/banknotes or ask our rangers for a leaflet. You can call our ranger mobile number 07918 280016.
