Family Funday was a ball

Our Family Funday event in partnership with AFC Bournemouth took place on Saturday 4th March at Horseshoe Common.

With an eclectic range of entertainment for visitors of all ages to enjoy, the day was jam-packed with face painters, children’s entertainers, a choir, and appearances from AFC Bournemouth’s women’s team, Cherry Bear and even Hot Radio covering the whole day!

The Funday was the perfect wrap-up to the Trivia Trail which had been taking place across the town centre since Friday 10th February.

The BID-organised Trivia Trail provided a platform for levy payers to offer discounts and deals to visitors to the town centre, with those completing the trail being entered into a £150 town centre gift card prize draw. Our winner was announced on air by Hot Radio and then presented their gift card by AFC Bournemouth’s women’s team.

Commenting on the success of the event, Business Liaison Officer for the Bournemouth BID, Susie O’Neill said, “We are thrilled with the turnout for our Family Funday and the positive response from visitors. It was a great way to wrap up our Trivia Trail, which encouraged people to explore the town centre and support our levy payers. We would like to thank our partners at AFC Bournemouth and all the performers and vendors who helped make this day a success.”
