The Town Centre BID’s Easter Fun Day in The Triangle was a great success despite some last minute changes due to the weather.
A number of businesses and Bournemouth Library stepped in to host events, including music and circus workshops, arts and crafts, face painting and live music on Easter Monday.
Steve Hughes, Town Centre BID Manager, said: “We had planned to use the public space outside the library but when we saw the weather forecast, it was just too risky.
The whole aim of the event was to draw more people to see what The Triangle has to offer and that really worked. The cafes, bars and library were packed with families.”
Bournemouth’ s Rachel-Ann Stroud, star of BBC’s The Voice, put on a performance at Flirt Cafe Bar; Matt Black the Piano Man performed at the Mad Cucumber Cafe, Dr Balloonman kept children entertained at the Blue Hill Cafe Bar and there were queues of youngsters for the face painting at the Ojo Rojo Mexican restaurant.
Steve added: “The BID is working hard to promote all areas of the town centre and we hope to stage more events in the Triangle and elsewhere in the coming months.”
