I grew up here in Bournemouth and as an adult I located my surveying practice here because I believe the town centre is a great place to do business. There is a lot on offer for everyone who lives and works here. In the summer, ‘walking meetings’ strolling through the gardens reminds us why we prefer to do business here rather than in London!

Bournemouth has changed an awful lot over the years. Like many town centres it has suffered as retail relocated out of town, but recently we have seen huge investment with regeneration projects like that at Bobby & Co creating new opportunities for employment, whilst also providing a reason to visit the Town Centre. Further mixed use developments that are under way will bring a mix of additional town centre residents and retail to serve them.

My background is in property and development, My business Whitefox- Chartered Surveyors is and continues to be involved in projects locally which is a real privilege and a pleasure. Our team work on Richmond Hill as do our friends from other businesses. There are many things that still need work to make the town centre a safe and inviting place. These are the primary concerns I understand people working in our offices have. Further, if we can encourage more business to come to the Town Centre that bring with them a reason for people to visit or work here, we will continue to see the resurgence that is happening in Commercial Road spread to other areas.

I believe that my passion to see Bournemouth succeed, coupled with knowledge and experience in property and investment will support the Directors of the board to achieve their vision and objectives in the months and years to come.
