Christmas Wonderland returns to Bournemouth town centre

BOURNEMOUTH’S iconic Christmas Tree Wonderland has been completely reimagined as Christmas in Bournemouth – a brand new lights trail created for everyone to enjoy.

When BCP Council could no longer fund the previous event, Seventa Events and Skate Events came together – with support from Town Centre BID and Coastal BID – to ensure the lights continued to shine brighter than ever.
Residents and visitors can wander through the beautifully lit Lower Gardens, where each area has been thoughtfully redesigned to create an immersive experience full of sparkle and festive cheer.

Over the Christmas period, residents and visitors can enjoy:

  • Animated light installations and photo points perfect for capturing festive memories.
  • A real Christmas tree walkway and enchanting Christmas tree maze.
  • Festive mini golf
  • The UK’s longest ice rink, surrounded by twinkling lights and festive music.
  • A brand-new Santa’s workshop experience and Santa sleigh simulator ride.
  • The Christmas train, and a traditional helter skelter with sea views.
  • The return of the Christmas market and alpine lodge bar, perfect for gifts, food, and mulled wine.

As well as the events in the heart of town, there will be other festive spectacles and delights in The Triangle, Westover Road, Beale Place, Horseshoe Common and Lansdowne, while the Town Centre BID has also paid for the Christmas street lights in the town centre.

This year’s event is funded by the organisers, Skate and Seventa, along with Bournemouth Town Centre BID and Coastal BID.

Every element has been designed to bring people together – celebrating the best of Bournemouth during the most magical time of the year.
