Christmas Tree Wonderland wins National Award

We are over the moon to announce that Christmas Tree Wonderland won Best Event in the prestigious national ATCM (Association of Town and City Management) Awards!

This was a joint submission from Town Centre BID, Coastal BID and BCP Council.

The judges said: “Christmas trees at Christmas time might not be innovative, but the scale and ambition of this event has taken the concept to an entirely new level. It is a joint submission from 3 partners, taking 3 years to plan and achieved the amazing feat of encouraging 3.3 million visitors to Bournemouth over the winter period. It has been so successful that this coastal town which is traditionally busier during the Summer has transformed its peak season with winter attracting more people.”

This win will help to cement Bournemouth’s national reputation as an eventful and creative town, and will help to attract even more visitors over Christmas 2019.
