Christmas Survey Results

We asked people to rank their experience on the questions below on a scale of 1-5. This gives an understanding of the general levels of satisfaction. By ranking these, we can see that ease of finding their way around and customer service were the most highly ranked, with the ice rink in third. The Christmas market, and how Bournemouth compares to other centres scored the lowest, but were still ranked above average.

More detailed analysis of the responses to the Christmas market show that younger people rated it highly, while older people, especially those 71+ rated it particularly lowly. The comments received while carrying out the survey suggested a higher level of satisfaction for the bar and animations than for the market stalls themselves.

Most of these questions were also asked in a survey carried out Christmas 2011. In most cases the mean score fell this year, with the exception of the impression of the Christmas lights, which increased. The largest fall was in how clean and tidy the town was perceived to be.
