With Halloween and Bonfire Night over for another year, it’s time to look ahead to Christmas. Here’s a rundown of the events taking place in the town centre over the festive period!
Christmas Tree Wonderland
15 Nov – 2 Jan
Bournemouth Lower Gardens
Bournemouth’s unique, free, festive trail returns, with over 100 glittering trees and illuminations. The Wonderland Tree has light and audio shows from 16 November to 2 Jan from 4pm to 9pm every half hour. The launch is on Friday 15 November from 4pm at Pier Approach, with the official ‘switch on’ at 6.30pm.
Santa’s Grotto
18 Nov – 24 Dec
Beales, Bournemouth
This year, a new Santa’s Grotto can be found in Beales Department Store, in association with Christmas Tree Wonderland, with booking recommended to avoid disappointment. The cost is £9 per child, with parents or guardians able to accompany free of charge. Tickets can be booked here: https://www.beales.co.uk/santas-grotto-tickets.html
Living Advent Calendar

Throughout Bournemouth town centre
A brand-new concept for Bournemouth town centre, with entertainment and activities taking place between 3.30 and 5.30pm daily across Bournemouth town centre. There are opportunities for levy payers to get involved, either by hosting one of the activities, or if you have an event already planned which you would like to feature as part of the Living Advent Calendar. A Very Victorian Christmas

Westover Road
Come to Westover Road in the run up to Christmas to enjoy some Victorian nostalgia, with themed windows, Victorian characters and street performers. Available 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday 30 November, 7, 14 and 21 December.
Skate Bournemouth

Bournemouth Lower Gardens

Christmas Market

The Christmas Market and Alpine Lodge return to Bournemouth Square. Open from 10am daily, except on Christmas Day.
