Chris Shephard

As Director of Development I am a member of the Council’s senior leadership team and as part of my role, I lead a team who deliver projects that support the high street, and work alongside colleagues who deliver activities in the BID area.  I lead the R³ Taskforce and Council High Streets Strategy and oversee the discretionary grant payments to businesses as a result of the Pandemic.  I am also close to our major regeneration projects, and the Council’s Future’s Fund. All of these require close working with the Town Centre BID, its levy payers, and with other partners.  I am well connected in the local business community, am passionate about our place, how people experience it, and about attracting investment to it. I will bring this passion and knowledge to the BID board and would be able to further cement the existing partnership between our two organisations.
