For the 12th year in a row, Bournemouth has been awarded the prestigious Purple Flag.
It’s an accolade for towns and cities achieving excellence in managing their evening and night-time economies.
Areas awarded the status are recognised for providing a vibrant and diverse mix of dining, entertainment and culture while promoting the safety and wellbeing of visitors and residents.
The night-time economy is supported in several ways by Bournemouth Town Centre BID through a longstanding partnership.
BID Chief Operating Officer, Paul Kinvig said: “Working with and supporting the night-time economy is one of the most important things we do.
“The night-time and evening economies are central to the vitality and vibrancy of the town centre and the accolade once again shows just how much hard work, dedication and imagination goes into creating a safe and lively nightlife.
“The Purple Flag is a very important part of maintaining Bournemouth’s national and international reputation and its position as a centre of excellence for the university and language school sectors.”
