Business breakfast tackles customer experience

A special Town Centre BID business breakfast with levy payers focused on the importance of the customer experience.

The event at Love Gusto in Yelverton Road, hosted by BID Chief Operating Officer, Paul Kinvig, heard a range of views, opinions, and experiences from business owners across all sectors.

Among the insights were delivering on what you promise, creating a good experience so customers will return and the importance of anticipating what customers may want and then making it “easy” to buy from you. .

BID Chairman, Martin Davies, who attended said: “I am continually impressed by the commitment and passion of our superb town centre business owners and their desire to give the very best customer care and service.

“All our surveys tell us that great customer service makes all the difference to a business and indeed the wider town centre or high street.”

He added: “The experience someone has can be that difference between going out and buying something and getting online.”

In September, the second of the BID-funded Improving Experience courses begins, following a highly successful series of workshops last year.

The course, to be delivered again on our behalf by Aspirin Business, will focus on Strategic Growth and is designed to help levy paying businesses navigate current economic challenges and set up for profitable growth.

The eight monthly, half-day, facilitated workshops at various venues including AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium, will include collaborative learning with peers and one to one business coaching.
