The largest breakfast so far was held by the BID in November and hosted by Centre VR in the Richmond Gardens complex.
Eleven levy payers joined BID Chief Operating Officer, Paul Kinvig, to talk about looking after staff and the need to show them a vision for the future.
He said: “It was another superb event with a really insightful discussion. Once again the gems of success that were unearthed from businesses just quietly going about their work were remarkable.”
Thoughts from the breakfast, which was also attended by BID Chairman, Martin Davies, included that retaining the wrong people can be damaging for a business, the importance of giving staff inspiration and motivation, celebrating the small successes as well as the big ones and that flexibility and structure can work side by side.
One contributor observed: “Some of the most rewarding times are when everything seems to be going against you and you are all down in the trenches together.”
