BID lights up town centre for Christmas

The Bournemouth Town Centre BID is funding an array of Christmas attractions this year, to help bring in as many visitors as possible.

The BID is paying for Xmas streetlights across the town centre area to boost festive footfall after BCP Council said it could not do so this year.

These localised Christmas lights are in Commercial Road, the Triangle, Post Office Road, Albert Road, Westover Road, Old Christchurch Road including Beale Place, and the Lansdowne.

Martin Davies, chairman of the BID said: “The BID has been ready, willing and able to step in on behalf of our levy-payers and our town centre.

“We will be doing everything we can to bring a vibrant and colourful festive presence to the town.”
The full BID Christmas programme will begin this Friday (November 17).
