BCP Council has established a BCP Economic Recovery Task Force to identify and act upon the issues that businesses are facing, and to assist businesses, as they start to re-open, to do so in a safe and co-ordinated manner. The Taskforce consists of business representative organisations across the conurbation and the Town Centre BID is playing a key role in this.
Work is already underway to produce a comprehensive recovery plan, but in the meantime the Task Force would like to ensure that you are aware of the government guidance documents, as featured in our email last week.
The new ‘Covid-19 secure’ guidance covers 8 workplace settings, from outdoor environments and construction sites to factories and takeaways. The most relevant ones for town centres can be accessed using the links below:
- Guidance for high streets and public open spaces
- Guidance for retailers
- Guidance for restaurants offering take away of delivery
- Guidance for offices and contact centres
- The whole portfolio of 8 guides can be accessed here
If you have any questions about the Task Force, please contact Liz Orme, Economic Development Officer, BCP Council, on liz.orme@bcpcouncil.gov.uk.
