BCP Council confirm no parking concessions for 2022 festive period

BCP Council have confirmed that there will not be any parking concessions across the BCP Council region during the 2022 Festive Period.  The focus from BCP is to promote travelling by train, bus, or Beryl Bikes.

The rationale behind this decision is due to unprecedented external inflationary financial pressures out of the direct control of the Council.  The income gained from car parks will be used to maintain the delivery of core transport services across the area.

The four BCP BIDs next steps are to lobby BCP Council to reverse their decision. and apply the same concessions across the conurbation as the previous 16 years.

This feedback should include:

1) Reasons why you believe this is the wrong decision (if you believe this to be the case)
2) How this might affect your business
3) How the previous year’s carpark concessions have supported you
