The Airship Orchestra, a spectacular collection of colourful and ground-breaking outdoor installations supported by BCP Council and Bournemouth Town Centre BID takes place in The Triangle from September 8 to October 9.
The Airship Orchestra will be a centrepiece of Art Month, runs for four weeks, and finishes with the Bournemouth Arts by the Sea Festival.
Created by ENESS, an award-winning art and technology studio, the custom light installation comprises 16 inflatables – some up to six metres in length – extending over a 500 square metre area.
Visitors are invited inside the airship formation to immerse themselves in ‘volumetric sound and rhythmic light pulsation.’
Chief Operating Officer of the Town Centre BID, Paul Kinvig, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be supporting The Airship Orchestra and helping it come to Bournemouth. It’s exactly the kind of exciting attraction we want to see in the town centre.
“I am certain many residents and visitors will enjoy this unique fantastic experience and that it will bring many people into the town centre.”
