AGM Invitation – 27 January 2016 – Hilton Hotel – 6-7pm

I am delighted to invite you to the Annual General Meeting of the Bournemouth Town Centre Business Improvement District.

This is your opportunity to hear about what we have achieved over the last 12 months and what we have planned for the year ahead and, of course, to hear your views on what you would like us to do to further improve the vibrancy of the town centre for the benefit of your business.

The AGM will be held at the new Hilton Hotel, so why not come along and have a look around. We will be in the Rule-Blott Suite on the 1^st Floor. Click here for a copy of the Agenda.

There will also be an opportunity to meet our new BID Manager who will be very keen to hear what you have to say.

About the AGM

The AGM is a ‘formality’ in the annual calendar of the Company, but is also a great opportunity for members to meet the Board and the management team of the BID and to hear about the activities of the BID. The opportunity exists to raise questions formally or more informally with other members of the BID. Notification of the AGM was published on the 10th December 2015, and a reminder sent on 7^th Jan 2016 via email – if you are not already receiving these emails, please sign up at www.towncentrebid.co.uk.

Board Directors – opportunity for you to apply

We currently have a number of vacancies for Board Directors, and at the AGM three of our current directors will be standing down, so if you are passionate about the town as a trading environment, and may be willing to freely provide your expertise and opinions you are invited to apply for one of the vacant posts. Click here for the application form to be a BID Director which should ideally be returned to the BID office in advance of the AGM. If there are more applications than available posts then a vote will be taken.

Voting

All levy payers are welcome at the AGM – however, only members of the company will be able to vote. Click here for a membership form should you wish to become a member in advance, and membership forms will also be available on the night.

Proxy Voting

If you are unable to attend but wish to be able to vote at the AGM, then you are able to appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf. Click here for a Proxy Voting Form, which you will need to complete and return to the Town Centre BID at least 48 hours before the AGM.

Accounts

We will be presenting the audited accounts at the AGM, and copies of the accounts will be available to any attendees who are members of the BID at the AGM. If you are unable to attend and wish to have sight of a copy of the accounts please let us know so that a copy can be sent to you.

It would be appreciated if you could provide notice of your intention to join the AGM in order that we may ensure an appropriate number of seats are provided.
