A national accolade for Alice

In May, students and staff from Arts University Bournemouth delivered an imaginative, innovative and much talked about event across the town centre called Alice in Spring.

The two-day interactive production based on Alice Through the Looking Glass and funded by the Town Centre BID, has now received national recognition.

At the annual Association for Events Management Education (AEME), AUB was awarded ‘Best Live Event’ for Alice in Spring.’

The project was deemed to be ‘the outstanding event’ from a pool of 46 universities with events management courses accredited to AEME.

Chief Operating Officer of Bournemouth Town Centre BID, Paul Kinvig said: “Huge congratulations to AUB for this wonderful and well-deserved accolade. This was a marvellous event for the town centre and just the sort of thing that visitors want more of.

“We were delighted to support Alice in Spring and look forward to working with the very talented staff and students at AUB again.”
