If 92% of the UK population now use Google. What happens when they Google your business?

If you don’t know, you’re missing a huge opportunity to reach potential new customers online. You can set up a Google Places page for your business for free, and help your business appear higher up in the listings when customers search for you or what you sell. It’s more powerful than SEO, yet most business owners are not doing it or don’t even know it exists.

The BIDs have set up free workshops for BID businesses to help you put this right. Google expert and Google trusted photographer David Faulder will help you cut through the confusion and give your business the presence it needs within Google’s search, Map and Streetview pages.

This is not a sales pitch but a chance for you to understand how you can use Google’s enormous power to help your business, and because you’re part of the BID, it won’t cost you anything. For those who want more, David will also explain about Google Business View – bringing the power of Google Streetview right into your business, with significant discounts for BID levy payers.

This opportunity is particularly relevant to independent shops and restaurants, or any business that doesn’t benefit from a head office team of online marketing gurus. It’s designed to be understood by anyone, we’ll give you a cup of coffee and did we mention it’s free?

There are four workshops in all:

Workshop One – 10-11am
Workshop Two – 2-3pm
