The Town Centre BID

The Town Centre BID has a simple underlying aim – to increase footfall and help you boost your profits.

In May 2012, proposals to establish the Bournemouth Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) were approved, with 83% of businesses subsequently voting ‘YES’.

Now in the 3rd year of its five year term, the Bournemouth Town Centre BID is a not for profit company with a board of directors made up of representatives of the levy paying businesses. Primarily funded by the 585 businesses within the BID area, the initiative will invest over £3 million in raising the profile of the town centre, increasing footfall and ultimately bringing your business more customers.

On top of these levy contributions, an additional 30% is being raised through voluntary contributions, sponsorship and matched funding for specific projects.

Every penny is being invested into making Bournemouth Town Centre a better place for visitors, locals and businesses alike.
